Porcelain goddess, Japan, 19th century. Probably Amaterasu, goddess of the Sun: "Amaterasu (天照) is the Sun goddess of Shintoism and the most important deity of the religion. According to mythology, she gave birth to the line of all Japanese emperors. She is said to have introduced rice growing, wheat cultivation and silkworms." (Wikipedia).
