Bronze Cartel - From The 1800s

19ᵉ century wall-mounted cartel, made of finely chased gilt bronze in the Louis XVI taste. The movement-shaped case is adorned with rich decorations of laurel leaves and falling garlands, framing a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute track.

The lower part is decorated with a female mask surrounded by foliage, while the top is surmounted by a covered vase with scroll handles, an emblematic motif of the neoclassical repertoire. Chasing details and luminous gilding underline the decorative quality of the whole.

The two-hole winding movement is housed in an openworked, textured bronze structure, bringing depth and refinement to the piece.
