"La violoniste", perhaps the wife of Alphons Stengelin, the most Dutch of French painters. The town of Katwijk named a street after him on March 13, 1907, when he decided to sign his works "Stengelin van Katwijk", the town where he lived half his time.
'It can be seen in many museums, including Amsterdam's famous Rijksmuseum.
This painting bears a dedication on the back to his daughter Isabelle.
