This beautiful chenet head, depicting a reclining lion with its paw resting on a ball (globe), in the style of the Medici lions, is in very good condition, with only minor traces of age. The patina shows some minor wear. The gilding of the base creates a superb contrast with the darker patina of the animal. The whole is very stable and very decorative.
