Elegant Paris porcelain litron cup and its original saucer, produced by the Manufacture du Duc d'Angoulême.
Decorated with gold highlights on a yellow and white ground.
The saucer bears the red stamped mark:"Manufacture de Mgr le Duc d'Angoulême à Paris".
The cup is marked with the crowned figure of the Duc d'Angoulême and "rue de Bondy".
Very fine condition.
Cup: 6 cm high / 6 cm diameter.
Sub-cup: 2.8 cm high / 13 cm diameter.
The factory, established in rue de Bondy (now rue René-Boulanger), benefited from the patronage of Louis-Antoine de France, Duc d'Angoulême, son of the Comte d'Artois, future Charles X.
As was customary, the prince did not directly manage the workshop, but allowed it to benefit from the use of his name and cipher.
