Elegant woman's portrait entitled "femme de Biskra" depicting a woman mirroring herself in front of a face to hand. Art Deco period work with beautiful colors. Oil on panel in perfect condition. Painter but also sculptor and interior designer, Émile Gaudissart enjoyed great success under Art Deco in France but also internationally, notably in Algeria.
In 1924 he created the wall decorations for the new Le Bon Marché store
He was also a master upholsterer and decorator. He designed the carpets for the liner Normandie In 1933

where he presented cartoons for carpets and tapestries for the collector Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann and carpets for the salon of the Hôtel du Collectionneur made by the Aubusson manufactory. And 1935 exhibition at the Musée des Beaux Arts in Algiers.
