Louis XVI Period Mahogany And Flamed Mahogany Veneer Chest Of Drawers
Louis XVI period mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer chest of drawers, French work from the late XVIIIᵉ century or early XIXᵉ century.
This elegant chest of drawers opens with three wide drawers on the front, adorned with a very fine mahogany veneer arranged in butterfly wings, offering a deep and particularly decorative veining.
The drawers are embellished with drop handles and ormolu keyways decorated with rosettes. Slightly protruding uprights and tapered legs give the ensemble a sober, balanced line inspired by the Louis XVI style.
The top is topped with an antique veined gray marble that elegantly underscores the warmth of the mahogany.
Very handsome storage unit with harmonious proportions, suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors.
