Early 19th Century Lacquered Wood Box
Lacquered and painted wood workbox, early 19th century Italian work (dated 1817 on the flap).
It opens with a drawer on the front and a flap on the top.
The latter is decorated with a lively scene of fishermen in a harbor with ships and a square tower in the background, the whole framed by a frieze of vine pampers.
The interior is covered with a dominoté patterned wallpaper.
