Louis XV Period Cabinet In Solid Walnut.
Regional Louis XV period solid walnut cabinet.
Opening with two front molded doors. It rests on cambered legs ending in small scrolls, giving the whole a light elegance typical of 18th-century provincial production.
The front is punctuated by a central diamond-shaped inlaid decoration, bringing relief and character to the whole. The door panels are delicately scalloped at the top, while the jambs are embellished with exposed brass plugs. The long, chased bronze keyways and handles add a refined decorative touch.
The overhanging molded cornice harmoniously caps the cabinet, emphasizing its balanced proportions.
The interior as a closet.
French work from the 18th century, probably from the South-West or Centre.
Good overall condition, beautiful original patina, traces of use consistent with age.
