The front is punctuated by wide molded panels with an agitated décor, embellished with beautiful finely chased bronze key escutcheons. The slightly projecting uprights and plinth base give the piece a sober, balanced look.
The flap reveals a refined interior in light wood (burl), composed of small side drawers and a central niche. The writing surface is sheathed in leather (antique, with traces of use), offering a functional and elegant surface. The fittings and opening system are original.
Nice deep patina, warm veining and remarkable craftsmanship.
