Biedermeier Column Table 1820 Early Biedermeier
A very beautiful and rare piece from the early Biedermeier period, adorned with solid columns, the two rear columns of which are designed as flat pilasters. The lower part incorporates a pedestal for book storage or simply as a decorative element; it features a single drawer, fitted with its original lock. The top is beautifully veneered in cherry wood, with a continuous, harmonious grain. This charming little piece of furniture is a true rarity, distinguished by its absolutely ravishing proportions. It's equally at home as a small laptop desk or as a hallway accent piece - its balanced proportions being its defining characteristic. Restored and finished in hand-polished shellac, it features a beautifully thick veneer.
