Rare wedding plate from the faïencerie des Capucins in Auxerre, dating from the first half of the 19th century.
We note that this plate has a crack and two chips. (see photos.)
A similar plate can be seen at the Musée de Villiers-Saint-Benoit, in the Yonne region, as well as on page 188 of the book entitled "La Faïence en Bourgogne Auxerroise" written by Paul Huillard.
