Carved Walnut Art Harmonium, Richly Decorated In The Neo-gothic Style.
Richly ornamented carved walnut art harmonium in the neo-Gothic and troubadour taste of the late 19th century. This remarkable instrument features a particularly elaborate architecture with openwork pediment, cut-out decorations, turned colonnettes, rosettes and numerous sculpted elements of great finesse.
The openwork music stand reveals an elegant symmetrical decoration centered on a lyrical motif, while the upper part is embellished with small turned pendants and pinnacles evoking medieval architecture. The curved front and carved details testify to quality craftsmanship and rich cabinetmaking skills.
The instrument rests on its original pedals trimmed with antique decorative fabric. Beautiful warm walnut patina.
French work from the late 19th century, ideal as a decorative element or for lovers of antique instruments and neo-Gothic furniture.
