Second Half Of The 18th Century Louis XVI Cherry Writing Desk
Refined writing desk entirely veneered in cherry,
embellished with elegant rosewood (ebony) inlays. The piece is distinguished by
its truncated pyramid legs and four ergonomic drawers, ideal for storing
objects, which open with lost-wax cast bronze keys. The desk also features a
practical small work or writing table, located under the main top and opened
with a pull, covered in green fabric. The inlays and veneer enhance the
aesthetics of the piece, creating a refined geometric pattern and enhancing the
wood grain. Furthermore, it is a round or freestanding writing desk, as it is
also veneered on the back. This writing desk is a piece of great class and
refinement, capable of lending a touch of elegance and antiquity to any space.
Tuscan manufacture from the Louis XVI period, around the second half of the
18th century.
