Renaissance / Henri II style desk table in richly carved solid oak, resting on four twisted legs linked by an X-shaped brace that is also turned.

The rectangular top features a beautiful antique patina and finely carved decoration throughout the belt, with vegetal friezes and repeating motifs typical of French Renaissance furniture.

The massive twisted legs and central brace add lots of character and a very nice decorative presence.

The wood offers a superb deep, warm grain, with a dark finish highlighting the carving work.
