This coat rack is a first edition from 1965, as it bears the original Gavina label.
In 1968, Gavina and its patents were sold to the American company Knoll International.
Bruce Tippett was a British artist highly regarded for his paintings; he exhibited worldwide, and major museums such as MoMA acquired his works for their collections.
During a residency in Rome, he designed the Renna coat rack, his only piece of designer furniture, which is highly prized by collectors.
Gavina was a furniture company founded in 1960 by Dino Gavina, who entrusted its management to Carlo Scarpa.
The coat rack has no structural defects and is in excellent condition, showing slight signs of wear visible in the photos.
