Artist: Henri Allouard (1844 - 1929)
This gilded bronze sculpture depicts a smiling young woman with a serene expression. Her head is slightly tilted and turned to one side, giving the composition a dynamic, lively look. The woman wears an artistically arranged hairstyle, adorned with a refined lace cap or hat and bow. The details of the sculpture are rendered with great precision.
Gilt bronze, France, early 20th century. Signed "H. Allouard" with the mention "Hors Concours", on the front a plaque "LA FRANÇAISE DE LYON, À SON PAPA KŒNIG 1925".
Dimensions: 55 x 28 x 20 cm.
Henri Émile Allouard (Paris 1844 - Paris 1929), a pupil of Alexandre Schoenewerck and Eugène-Louis Lequesne, exhibited his work at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1865 to 1928.
