Melody Carrier-belleuse
Large bronze sculpture with a brown patina titled "Mélodie," depicting a draped young woman holding a lyre. This elegant musical allegory is the work of Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse (1824–1887), a renowned 19th-century sculptor and mentor to Auguste Rodin. The refinement of the modeling, the quality of the drapery, and the grace of the composition perfectly showcase his talent. Signed bronze, bearing the inscription "Hors Concours." 19th century.
