Small French desk sculpture from the second half of the 1800s, made of bronze and marble, depicting Napoleon Bonaparte. The figure depicts Napoleon wearing his characteristic tricorn hat (bicorne), seated in a simple chair. He is shown in a pensive or perhaps weary pose, with his arms crossed over his chest and his legs stretched out in front of him. He wears his officer’s uniform and an overcoat or cloak draped over the back of the chair.
