This design features a thick, rounded seat resting on three faceted legs. The high, sculptural back of the chairs incorporates a handle.
The sculpture emphasizes the mass, feel and natural character of wood.This furniture reflects the rustic-modern tradition of mid-twentieth-century French workshops, where functional elements took the form of expressive, hand-carved pieces on the borderline between furniture and sculpture.
