A rare English reclining library chair by Carter’s of London, dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period. This unusual country house armchair retains its original floral upholstery and decorative fringe trim, giving it a beautifully lived-in character.
The chair features an adjustable reclining mechanism with extending footrest and stands on original castors. Retaining the original Carter’s maker’s plaque to the rear.
