We present this majestic antique Italian lectern, crafted from solid walnut and dating back to the early 19th century.

Featuring a pyramid-shaped upper section topped with a decorative turned wooden knob, it is ideal for use on both sides. It offers two slanted shelves for holding books, missals, or sheet music. The base of the slanted shelves features a shaped bookstop to prevent volumes from sliding. The two open sides create a unique and decorative internal niche. A turned vertical shaft connects the upper section to the base. A circular shelf provides additional support at mid-height. At the base, three curved supports extend outward to ensure stability. A carved decorative ring joins the three legs at their point of maximum convergence. The feet rest on a shaped triangular base, raised off the ground.
