A very large and beautiful gouache painting by a painter often associated with the Rouen School. Henry Dannet 1886.1946 born in Gassicourt and died' in Pont-Audemer. French painter and draughtsman, trained at the Rouen School of Fine Arts by Philippe Zacharie from 1901 to 1904. He worked alongside painters Henocque , Delattre , Guilbert , and Pinchon . Here is a fine representation of his immense talent, with this old-town alleyway. With the Hôtel du Havre in the foreground. Very fine pictorial work! Signature lower right.
