Set Of Two Asparagus Dishes - Majolica - Barbotine - Longchamp - 19th - 20th Century
The two majolica barbotine asparagus serving dishes from Longchamp. From Late 19th or early 20th century.
Each of the two dishes still displays a richness of color thanks to the method spainting and enameling methods, patented by the famous French master ceramists at Longchamp.
The art of porcelain casting and the bright colors of green, yellow and yellow and those reflections of egg plant represent the main vegetable for which the service was designed, asparagus.
The two-part design also facilitates cleaning.
The dimensions are:
The lower tray ; The length of 34 cm, width of 24 cm, height of 5 cm,
and a weight of 1.020 kg. per piece.
The top plate ;
The length of 22 cm, the width of 17 cm, the height of 11 cm,
and a weight of 1.178 kg. per piece.
