Elegant Art Nouveau walnut furniture with floral marquetry , signed Louis Majorelle in Nancy, famous master cabinetmaker of the École de Nancy.
This refined piece of furniture features superb floral inlaid decoration of clematis and irises, typical of Majorelle's work, combined with delicate plant carvings on the jambs and belt.
The supple, asymmetrical lines and naturalistic ornamentation perfectly illustrate the French Art Nouveau aesthetic of the early 20th century.
The cabinet opens with two doors and a drawer on the front.
It also features several shelves and storage compartments offering a functional and elegant interior.
"L Majorelle Nancy" signature visible on the cabinet.
Very fine cabinetmaking with meticulous work on veneers, marquetry and carvings.
