Armchair Bergère à Oreilles In Walnut, Louis XVI Style - Late 19th Century
Large Louis XVI-style walnut wingback shepherd's chair, this handsome piece seduces with its balanced lines and rich decoration. The top of the back features a remarkable medallion in Wedgwood blue jasper, depicting an antique scene, delicately surrounded by a garland of pearls, a wide ribboned bow and finely carved foliage. The entire frame, in molded wood, is adorned with a continuous decoration of pearls and ovals, while the armrests are distinguished by their painted ornamentation, which underlines the refinement of the structure. The bergère rests on four turned, fluted and squared legs, typical of the Louis XVI aesthetic and testifying to meticulous workmanship of the late XIXᵉ century. The upholstery has been redone in the old-fashioned way, with springs and animal hair, guaranteeing authentic, long-lasting comfort; the checked fabric currently fitted can be covered to suit your tastes to blend in perfectly with your interior. A decorative and comfortable piece, combining historic charm, quality craftsmanship and customization potential.
