Cast-iron chimney iron complete with pin and original internal grate. These irons were widely used during the 19th century. In this case, the piece is distinguished by its chimney, which, rather than being plain, is shaped to form a dragon. When used with embers inside, the dragon emitted smoke, creating a very distinctive visual effect.
