Rose De Pesaro Earthenware Plate Italy Casali Callegari 18th Century
Pesaro earthenware plate "alla rosa" 18th century
Beautiful Pesaro earthenware plate, Casali e Callegari manufacture, late 18th century, with polychrome "alla rosa" decoration, also known as Pesaro rose, with brown fillet on the contoured rim.
The piece features the famous floral decoration developed in the Pesaro workshops in the second half of the 18th century: a large central rose treated in broad spiral touches of purplish pink, surrounded by green foliage outlined in black, yellow florets and small bouquets thrown in a very elegant asymmetrical composition. This decorative vocabulary, now identified as typical of Pesaro production,
The contoured marli underlined by a manganese-brown fillet reinforces the elegance of the design and is a characteristic element of Casali e Callegari production. The quality of the slightly creamy stanniferous white and the finesse of the petit feu bear witness to a refined production of the late 18th century.
Perfect state of preservation. No chips or restorations.
