Lurçat Jean (1892-1966)
The master of contemporary tapestry turned to ceramics in the early 1950s. He regularly visited the Sant-Vicens pottery workshop, created by Firmin Bauby. There, he decorated dishes, vases, jugs and other everyday objects. His work as a ceramist is also marked by monumental creations, such as the one that adorns the Maison de la Radio in Strasbourg.
