Interesting Solid Silver Censer. The coat of arms of the De Cocq family (Picardy?) is engraved within a cartridge. It is decorated with an armorial helmet surmounted by a crown. Above the crown is a rooster with outstretched wings, its head turned to its right. Below is a shield decorated with stars and roosters. On either side are lions with banners. The first banner is decorated with a rooster, the second with a lion. The base is engraved "DD ANNELINA DE COCQ 1743". No maker's mark. French work from the first half of the 18th century. Net weight: 1,232 kg
