Pair of Louis XV-style armchairs with generous seats and large "à la Reine" backs.richly molded and carved, these armchairs feature stylized foliage (acanthus), shells, etc. They are upholstered with straps and springs and covered with fabric or "Velours de Gênes".The wood: walnut-stained solid beech.the structure is solid, the fabrics have halos, the seat is still comfortable but could be harder if the straps were tightened.A lovely nineteenth-century model.
