Louis XVI Marquetry Display Case With Lighting, France, 1850s
Exceptional and rare three-door inlaid display case, adorned with rich floral decorations in brass. Made in France around 1850. It features a large central door, inlaid and decorated with brass, with two spacious shelves. On either side, a glass door houses two glass shelves and a luxuriously decorated fabric at the bottom. All doors are richly decorated with brass floral motifs and lock. The display case is surrounded by a geometric brass frieze with interlacing, topped by a marble top. It rests on six elegant arched legs, beautifully decorated in brass.
