Allegory of Belgium, with open arms holding a flag, and wearing a Phrygian cap. The banner reads "Peoples form a holy alliance and join hands."
This allegory can also be seen on the Char de la Concorde in the procession of the Counts of Flanders in 1849. Jean-François Portaels designed the float.
