Illuminating Sculpture Lamp "lumina Clarity" 65 Cm By Le Verrier - 1930 Art Deco
Artist: Le Verrier
A large, iconic Clarté Lumina lamp, an Art Deco period lighting sculpture in early edition cast iron by Max Le Verrier, depicting a sleek dancer holding a crackled glass globe in her hands. She rests on a stepped hexagonal portor marble, the original patina is shaded green. This is a flagship model from Max Le Verrier workshops, produced in various sizes. After winning a gold medal at the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris, Le Verrier went on to produce several sculptures. This one has been exhibited at the POMPIDOU Center, HARROD'S in London, the Grand Palais, the MARTINEZ Hotel in Cannes and the Lutetia Hotel in Paris, which owned two examples before its latest renovation. This lamp is electrified and perfectly functional. Le Verrier" signature on the base.
