Original architectural surround in carved and polychromed wood, richly decorated in an Orientalist spirit, probably inspired by traditional North African or Middle Eastern art.
The front features an openwork geometric design at the top, composed of interlaced motifs, framed by panels adorned with stylized rosettes.
The side jambs are finely carved with foliage scrolls and enhanced with polychrome in shades of green, red and ochre.
The upper crosspiece and central archway adopt a scalloped shape, typical of oriental architecture, enriched with carved and painted motifs.
The ensemble offers a beautiful decorative presence, ideal for integration into an eclectic or characterful interior.

Used condition with visible wear to the polychromy and wood, consistent with age and use. Minor alterations, missing parts and traces of age add to the charm of the piece. Back lined with fabric (later).
