Bronze Equestrian Sculpture By Paul Gayrard

Artist: Paul Gayrard (1807-1855)
Brown patina bronze representing a horse playing with a dog. Leaning against a vegetated terrace, this sculpture, signed by the artist Paul Gayrard (1807-1855), will delight lovers of horses and hunting. The stallion is harnessed, and a hunting horn and dagger harness hang from the pommel of the saddle. The horse and dog are having fun together. An original 19th-century sculpture, the chasing is precise, highlighting the details of the mane and harness, as well as the morphology of the two animals.
The artist: Paul Gayrard, whose real name was Joseph Raymond Gayrard, came from a family of sculptors.
The work we are presenting is a model that is uncommon on the market, in very good condition, with a beautiful original patina.
