Large Ormolu Hot-water Bottle Lamp, Early 19th Century
Large three-light hot-water bottle lamp in chased and gilded bronze:
Openwork basket-shaped circular base, polished steel shaft, branches adorned with foliage
Complete with its original bobèches
Light tray and shade adjustable in height by tightening lyre keys
The painted tole shade (unpainted) is silvered ,with an interior forming a reflector
In good condition with mercury gilding
This lamp was formerly drilled to be electrified (base and binnacles) and can therefore be easily equipped
The top is topped with a clamping seed
