Born in Brescia (Italy) in 1890.
Painter of typical scenes of Oranese life, portraits and landscapes, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he was a member, from 1920 to 1929.
At the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris, he studied with Thiébault and Pavée. A first exhibition in Oran, in 1923, revealed him to the public. he presented the Côte d'Azur: the Grotte auxnymphs (in Cannes), a street in Grasse, and views of the Côte oranaise. Coast.
In the magazine Oranof February 3, 1925, Alfred Cazes, speaking of an exhibition by Bono, remarks: "Mr Bono is from our region. He revealed to the Oranais, who were a little too ignorant of the grandiose beauty of their cliffs. Bono also travels in southern Algeria and Morocco. His wife is also a painter under the name Bono-Dugelay
