Lot of 5 photographs from the 1890s-1900s including 4 prints by Lafayette depicting Sarah Bernhardt* in the role of Hamlet in Shakespeare's play by Lafayette and a photographic print by Paul Boyer depicting Sarah Bernhardt in the role of Edmond Rostand's L'aiglon.
Comes from a regional estate whose forebears were close to Sarah Bernhardt and Louise Abbéma, in the same estate have been preserved two unpublished portraits of Sarah Bernhardt painted by Louise Abbéma.
