Hermès - Silk Scarf Carre 90 Forets En l'Ile De France - 1954
Hermès silk scarf, “Forêts en L’Île‑de‑France,” original
1954 edition and never reissued. Classified as rare (3/4) in G. Fontan’s Dictionnaire
illustré des carrés Hermès (2024). This historic design pays tribute to
the great forests surrounding Paris : Fontainebleau, Rambouillet, Montmorency,
Saint‑Germain‑en‑Laye...combining cartography and landscape in the poetic graphic
style characteristic of Hermès in the 1950s.
Hand‑rolled silk carré, approx. 33.5 × 33.8 in, presented with its Hermès box and ribbon.
Very good overall condition for an authentic 1954 issue: supple, luminous silk, well‑preserved hand‑rolled edges, deep colors. A lightly pulled thread and a few discreet traces are noted, without affecting the integrity of the piece.
Professional packaging. Fast, tracked shipping within France and internationally.
