Art Deco Brooch In Platinum, Set With Old-cut Diamonds And Calibrated Sapphires,
Art Deco brooch in platinum, set with old-cut diamonds and calibrated sapphires, work circa 1920
Description
Art Deco brooch from the 1920s, crafted entirely in platinum, perfectly illustrating the geometric, structured aesthetic characteristic of the period. The design is distinguished by a rigorous symmetrical composition, articulated around a central rectangular motif and openwork lateral lines, giving the ensemble great legibility and architectural elegance.
The ornamentation is based on a pavement of old-cut diamonds, whose brilliance is subtly enhanced by a frame of calibrated sapphires. The latter, cut as baguettes, introduce a chromatic contrast typical of Art Deco productions, reinforcing the modernity of the design.
Five main diamonds punctuate the composition, while a sowing of smaller diamonds highlights volumes and contours with finesse. The whole features meticulous setting work, characteristic of quality workmanship.
The brooch is preserved.
The brooch is preserved in perfect condition, with a functional clasp system, and is presented in its original case.
