Bouquet Of Flowers By Suzanne Cappiello

A bouquet of flowers in a vase, painted in the Expressionist style by Suzanne Cappiello, née Meyer (1880-1969). Wife of the renowned poster artist Leonetto Cappiello since 1901, she devoted herself to painting during the interwar period, regularly exhibiting portraits and bouquets of flowers at the Salon de la Nationale between 1930 and 1938 and at the Salon des Tuileries in 1934. A painting by this artist was acquired by the Céret Museum of Modern Art in 1991. Our painting is dated and signed 1928 in the lower right corner and is sold unframed.
