Louis XVI Style Desk Signed J.p. Ehalt
Louis XVI style desk signed J.P. Ehalt, 20th century period, in rosewood veneer and stained wood.
The top is upholstered in deep green leather, surrounded by a double gilded border. There is a stain on the upper right of the leather (see photo), testifying to the piece's use and experience.
On the front, the desk features five drawers. It is embellished with original bronzes. The piece of furniture can be set against a wall or in the center of a room.
The signature "J.P. Ehalt" can be found under the crossbar of the large main drawer. This Strasbourg-based factory began production in 1924 and still exists today.
