Small Engraved Leather Cassette, Forged Fittings, Circa 1660, Good Condition

Charming rectangular-shaped cassette with domed lid, blackened leather and hot-engraved with geometric sloping bands, lattice work and compartmentalization, reminiscent designed gardens of period.
Forged hardware was gilded at the origin.
Beautiful lock with hasp and clasps, still Louis XIII.
Inside is sheathed of water-green vellum paper.
Dimensions: Smallsize 17.5cm x 11.5cm x 10cm.

Beautiful original condition, some surface wear, missing hooks have been reforged, we have found 2 antique keys that fit, and gold bottoms have been refreshed with bronze powder to give it this beautiful appearance.
