Large Napoleon III Period Gilded Mirror - Mascaron Decor
An important and spectacular Napoleon III period mirror, with very large dimensions (223 cm x 143 cm), ideal for decorating a château, private mansion or residence of character.
This model is distinguished by its rich molded stucco and gilded decoration, finely worked in a highly ornate 19th century style. It is topped by an imposing central mascaron featuring a bearded face, framed by scrolls, shells and vegetal motifs, offering a strong decorative presence.
Condition:
Mirror to be restored. Worn gilding, missing stucco and alterations in places. Mirror base pitted and oxidized (see photos). However, structurally sound and fully restorable.
