Richly Carved Candlestick, Louis XIV Period
A large molded and richly carved natural wood baluster-shaped candlestick with several constrictions, decorated with gadroons, scrolls, acanthus leaves, lambrequins, foliage, shells, etc., standing on a tripartite base, the corners decorated with cherubs, the fronts decorated with cartels presenting three religious symbols such as the Sacred Heart (wear, accidents, missing parts, foot ends redone).
