Large and beautiful sculpture in copper alloy with a nuanced brown patina, representing the Borghese gladiator.
Hellenistic sculpture which actually represents a warrior fighting and whose author is Agasias of Ephesus, it was preserved by the Borghese family in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was acquired by Emperor Napoleon I in 1807 and is today exhibited at the Louvre Museum.
