19th Century Napoleon III Gilded Italian Frame

Italian frame from the second half of the 19th century. A Napoleon III object in wood and plaster, finely carved, gilded, and chiseled, of excellent quality. The frame can hold a mirror or painting with the following maximum dimensions: H 36 x W 29.5 cm. It can be hung vertically or horizontally by moving the appropriate hook. This compact frame is ideal for antique dealers and interior decorators.

Structurally sound and solid, with a beautiful patina, it shows minor signs of age and two very small losses to the plaster decoration (see photo) on the left inner corner.
