Empire Style Console, Circa 1880-1920, Inscribed "bin Herbin"
Artist: Avec Une Inscription à L’encre “bin Herbin” Sous La Base Et Dissimulée Derrière Un Médaillon.
Mahogany and gilt bronze half-moon console table, standing on three legs joined by a concave brace. The belt is adorned with finely chased bronze sconces, decorated with classical motifs and figured medallions. The uprights are centered by winged female figures (caryatids) with outstretched wings, terminating in ormolu claw feet.
The green marble top.
With an ink inscription "Bin Herbin" below the base and concealed behind a medallion.
