18th Century French Neoclassical Wall Console With Marble Top

An elegant French neoclassical wall-mounted console dating from the late 18th century, crafted with refined proportions and exceptional materials. The demilune structure is made of veneered mahogany, highlighted with delicate inlaid details in satinwood and boxwood, typical of the Louis XVI aesthetic.

The console is surmounted by a richly figured Brèche d’Alèp marble top with rounded molded edges, adding a luxurious contrast to the linear geometry of the base. The apron features symmetrical panels framed in fine marquetry, with a central decorative reserve enhanced by checkerboard inlay. The single tapered leg is finished with a carved gilt-bronze mount in a classical foliate motif.
